Integrative Healthcare through manual and movement therapy

Institute for Neurodevelopment

The Frida Method®, founded by Maria Jacobs, harnesses the principles of brain plasticity and psychophysiology to bring about transformation in individuals of all ages through a noninvasive and personalized approach.

We create lasting change in how people think, feel and move.

The Frida Method® is the only method in

its field that directly addresses the

underlying foundational causes

of delayed neurodevelopment.

We recognize the dynamic unity

of the whole body.

The Frida Method® is based on the

scientific evidence of neuroplasticity,

the brain’s ability to change and adapt both in structure and function throughout life

and in response to experience.

Who We Serve

The Frida Method® is designed to tackle a variety of diverse challenges faced by individuals across all age groups. Our approach effectively supports those dealing with various diagnoses, physical injuries, trauma, learning disabilities, and more. We are committed to providing personalized assistance that promotes healing and growth in every participant.

By addressing the root causes of emotional and developmental challenges, our objective is to comprehensively connect the mind and body, creating a framework for personal growth and development in every individual.

The Frida Method®, based in Lake Grove, New York, supports children, families, and professionals across Suffolk County and Long Island who experience challenges with learning, emotional regulation, or sensory processing.

Our team integrates Body, Brain, and Relationships to improve communication within the nervous system and create lasting change in how people think, feel, and move.

We use gentle manual therapy, guided movement, and personalized coaching to help each client strengthen brain-body balance and build more connected relationships—at home, in school, and in daily life.

NeuroDevelopment

About Our Practice

With a research-based model and tools to facilitate optimal brain organization, we support physical and sensory-emotional processing abilities.

This model, based on the foundations of neurological development, facilitates the interconnectedness of the brain and the somatic-body experience.

Mental, emotional, and physical well-being are possible only when the brain and body are working together.
