VESTIBULAR IMBALANCE
What Is Vestibular Imbalance?
Vestibular imbalance, also known as vestibular dysfunction, refers to a disturbance in the system responsible for maintaining balance, spatial orientation, and the coordination of eye movements.
Common symptoms of vestibular imbalance may include dizziness or vertigo (a false sensation of spinning), unsteadiness or balance problems, light-headedness, nausea or vomiting, difficulty with visual focus (especially when moving), or tinnitus (ringing in the ears).
Vestibular imbalance can be caused by various factors, including migraines, head injuries, or neurological disorders.

How We Treat Vestibular Imbalance
At the Frida Method® we recognize the crucial role the vestibular system plays across all neurosomatic systems, emphasizing its importance beyond simply maintaining postural balance. Our work aims to stimulate all vestibular structures (inner ear and certain brainstem structures) to achieve integration and equilibrium.
Through movement, we develop the capacity to manage imbalances. The vestibular system engages the pre-frontal cortex and serves as a foundation for supporting balance through reflex integration, sensory processing and gross motor skills development.

What to Expect
This program supports children, teens and adults. Whether you have a diagnosed vestibular condition or experience persistent balance/spatial difficulties, we build a plan based on your nervous system and movement profile.
What Success Looks Like
Outcomes vary by individual. Many clients report improved balance, fewer dizziness/vertigo episodes, clearer visual focus during movement, better coordination and more confidence in daily activities.
Frequently Asked Questions About Vestibular Imbalance
Do I need a formal vestibular diagnosis?
No. We assess vestibular and nervous system function and build support based on your profile.
Is this a replacement for medical/ENT treatment?
No. We supplement and integrate with existing medical care; we focus on nervous system regulation, movement and balance.
How long is the program?
Duration depends on age, severity and nervous system status; typically X-Y months.
What ages do you serve?
Children, teens, and adults of all ages.
Can I engage virtually or remotely?
Yes. While in-office manual/movement work is ideal, we offer home-based tasks and virtual coaching when needed.
