WHAT IS THE FRIDA METHOD?
The Frida Method® utilizes the approaches in the visual above to create a personalized treatment plan for all individuals. By incorporating evidence-based strategies, this innovative method promotes optimal well-being, fostering both physical and emotional health.
Manual Therapy
Frida Method® Manual Therapy is a hands-on treatment used by our Frida Method® trained professionals to address dysfunction in various body systems, including fluids, tendons, ligaments, joints, and muscles.

Its effectiveness is influenced by biomechanical factors, like structural changes in tissues, and neurophysiological responses, which can reduce inflammation and alter pain perception.
Research indicates that manual therapy enhances movement and can quickly affect brain areas related to sensory processing. Functional MRI studies show immediate changes in brain connectivity after techniques like spinal manipulation and touch.
Additionally, manual therapy impacts the sympathetic nervous system, leading to variations in heart rate, blood pressure, and other physiological markers. The approach involves a comprehensive process, including assessment, practitioner-patient interaction, movement education, and cognitive behavior factors to improve wellness outcomes.

Brain Therapy

Frida Method® gentle approach to brain manual therapy addresses the brain structures and its associated nervous and vascular and cerebrospinal circular fluids. Our method helps to restore balance both for structural and functional connection with cranial pathways and brain structures.
The body aligns itself around the precise structures. Addressing key brain and spinal cord tissue restrictions is a fast and non-invasive way that is different from any other medical or mechanical input as the gentle approach works directly with feedback in the moment from the client and therefore the most gentle way to address brain, somatic and developmental issues.
Sensory Processing
The Frida Method® NeuroSomatic Technique addresses sensory-based motor issues, particularly postural disorders and dyspraxia, which manifest as challenges in gross and fine motor movements. Individuals experiencing these challenges often exhibit clumsiness, coordination difficulties, and a tendency to avoid physical activities like sports or biking, preferring more sedentary pursuits that can lead to environmental disorganization

A dditionally, sensory impairments (functionality of the brain)—distinct from sensor processing disorders—can include visual, olfactory, and auditory challenges, resulting in behaviors such as delayed responses and hypersensitivity to stimuli. These behaviors vary among individuals and highlight the need for accurate assessment to address underlying issues effectively. Sensory modulation disorder, characterized by symptoms such as hyperactivity, emotional dysregulation, and poor motor control, is often overlooked in traditional therapies, leading to fragmented skill development. The Frida Method® offers a holistic approach by integrating targeted communication, manual therapy, and movement, which fosters improved sensory processing and overall functionality.
Reflexes and the Brain
How do we utilize reflex work in our Neurodevelopment method?

Neurodevelopment refers to the intricate process of forming neurological pathways that significantly affect an individual's functioning, starting from embryonic development through adulthood. In early childhood, this entails the maturation of the central nervous system (CNS), which plays a crucial role in myelination—the protective coating around nerve cell axons that facilitates efficient communication between neurons. The CNS, composed of the brain and spinal cord, is safeguarded by the skull and three protective membranes called meninges. Its primary functions include processing sensory input, motor output, and crucial communication between the brain and muscles via descending and ascending pathways.
Disruptions to neurodevelopment can arise from illnesses, trauma, or other developmental challenges, adversely affecting reflex patterns and overall neurological growth across several key areas, such as sensory development and emotional regulation. The FridaMethod® NeuroSomatictechniques highlights the importance of reflex integration and testing to assess the neural connections involved in motor control, ultimately aiming to equip participants with the skills to promote effective neurodevelopmental practices.

Neuro-Muscular Re-Patterning
We are unconscious of most of our small movements involved in posture and locomotions. Usually we are not aware of the initial sensation that starts a reflex or of the movements that completes it.

Most movements we do are habitual, meaning automatic responses. Maybe sometimes we are learning a movement skill or new sports then we are more conscious. This way we know it is possible to bring more consciousness and control. This fact underlies the learning process in purposive movement and retraining habitual postural movement patterns that are not serving us anymore, causing pain or are not supporting our potential.
Childhood Development
The Frida Method® is an innovative approach designed to support healthy child development during the crucial early years, essential for establishing foundational skills.

Here’s an overview of its key components:
Dr. Greenspan’s milestones serve as benchmarks for assessing a child's progress across cognitive, emotional, social, and physical domains. Recognizing these stages helps caregivers and educators understand a child’s developmental journey.
Photographs are a way of preserving a moment in our lives for the rest of our lives. Many of us have.
Holistic Approach: The Frida Method adopts a holistic perspective that encompasses physical, emotional, and cognitive growth. By addressing all these aspects, it promotes well-rounded development, fostering resilience, creativity, and problem-solving abilities.
Engagement and Interaction: Active engagement between caregivers and children is essential for fostering interactive play, responsive communication, and meaningful relationships to enhance emotional connections and create a conducive learning environment.
Regular assessments based on established milestones facilitate ongoing adjustments to developmental strategies. This ensures that as children grow and their needs evolve, the support strategies can also evolve accordingly.
Foundation for Future Learning: The skills developed in these early years lay the groundwork for future success in school and beyond. The Frida Method aims to equip children with the tools necessary to thrive in various social and academic settings.
Emotional Developmental Milestone
The Frida Method® utilizes developmental milestones to create a nurturing framework that supports healthy growth in children. By focusing on individual needs and the broader context of development, this method seeks to cultivate well-rounded individuals capable of navigating the complexities of later life stages.

Developing the capacity to focus and relate to others allows children to begin communicating with willful intention through facial expressions, gestures, and body language.

A child begins to discern patterns of behavior, both in himself and others, areas of the map begin to get filled in, and children begin to solve problems with the help of others. (circles of communication)

involves learning to form mental pictures or images of their wants, needs and emotions. This is the stage of symbolic expression where a child can substitute a thought or an idea for an action or behavior.

involves taking the mental images from the previous stage and building bridges between them - a child can go beyond simply labeling emotions, and connect them to external events or other internal images or ideas.
Comprehensive Assessment Process
Clients begin with a thorough assessment which includes:
QEEG and brain mapping, autonomic nervous system, and cranial imbalance measurements are available upon request.
Assessment Goal - Our mission focuses on identifying communication, socialization, or functionality challenges within the brain, fostering growth in these areas to create harmony between body and brain.
Following this assessment, we provide a detailed report with personalized recommendations and strategies to enhance each individual’s functionality. If necessary, we also coordinate with our care partners for ongoing, integrated support at every life stage.
